A tribute to the life
and legacy of

A. E. Clarkson

Communism carries this socialist idea to its logical conclusion, abolishes private property and ownership altogether and makes every citizen a worker under the direction of the State and sharing equally in the products of the communal life.

Communism fails because: One, All are not willing and so force must be used. Two, it causes a loss of initiative. Capitalism has achieved its successes by liberating to an extraordinary degree the inventiveness, enterprise and energy of the individual. Thus men of brains, energy and wealth come together for the common good. Capitalism does not burden posterity with the cost of failures. Yes success in business may win too great a reward for some but failures are written off and the public is the wiser but not the sufferer. Socialism adds the burden of debt with its annual interest.
